We personalize each ornament by hand using a special pen, giving you the flexibility to get creative - you can add names, dates, occasions... anything you'd like it to say (space permitting!). Our experienced team of writers have beautiful handwriting to help you create beloved family mementos and unique gifts. And the best part? It's free - no extra charge for personalizing!
Kris Kringle of Carmel is a year-round Christmas store celebrated its 40th year in beautiful Carmel-by-the-Sea before owner Carol retired in early 2024. The Ocean Ave storefront delighted visitors with Christmas ornaments, holiday collectible lines, and all things Carmel.
We still have a selection of ornaments and collectibles here on our website, including our commemorative ornament!
Carol Montana got the idea to open a Christmas store while honeymooning in Germany with her now late husband, Michael. They opened Kris Kringle a year later, and have been bringing the Christmas spirit to Carmel-by-the-Sea ever since. Carol brings her artist's eye to finding new and interesting Christmas ornaments and Christmas gifts to share with her customers. She loves getting to meet visitors from around the world has enjoyed the friendships she has made in her years at the store.
